Lynn Moore is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and received her Masters degree from Denver Seminary in Denver, Colorado in 1991. She graduated with her BA in Psychology from Central College, in Pella, Iowa in 1984 and is a 1980 HS graduate from Indianola.

Lynn has been in the counseling field since 1982; beginning while in college at the youth shelter in Newton, Iowa. She went on to work in youth shelters in Des Moines, Iowa City and Ames until moving to Denver, CO where she obtained her MA degree, worked at The Children’s Hospital Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Units and opened a private practice. She returned to Iowa in 1995 and continued in private practice in Des Moines.

She specializes in women’s issues; specifically depression, grief and loss, anxiety, spiritual formation and eating disorders.

Lynn has a creative spirit, is a lover of everything artistic, and even sells some of her own art in craft fairs. She always looks for creative ways to engage people in the therapy process and to encourage clients in creative expression.

Lynn also loves engaging teen girls in the therapeutic process and they enjoy her creative approaches to therapy, especially art and writing. Assessing and encouraging a teen’s unique strengths and gifts are a vital part of Lynn’s approach and also her success in helping young girls heal and grow.

Lynn is married to Patrick and they have 2 sweet kitties Tasha and Abbie. They love living in the country since Lynn grew up on a farm south of Indianola. She loved Colorado and living minutes from the Rocky Mountains but missed her family and Midwest roots.
